A Home Service Plan covers nearly all makes and models of air conditioning and heating equipment and water heaters. Learn more about our plans below.

    What is a Home Service Plan?
    A Home Service Plan that provides comprehensive coverage on the systems and equipment in your home. If your covered equipment requires service, you will pay nothing for covered parts and labor. And, to ensure the job is done right the first time, a highly skilled technician, electrician or plumber from our network of approved service providers will be sent to make the repair.

    Purchasing a Home Service Plan ensures that when covered equipment breaks, it will be fixed by a qualified professional. A home protection plan will also help to protect your family budget against costly repairs, because of the plan’s comprehensive parts and labor coverage.

    What do the Home Service Plans cover?
    Our Home Service Plans protect central air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, water heaters and in-home electrical equipment (equipment coverage varies by plan). Each plan provides:

    How do I know Constellation service providers are qualified?
    Every service provider in our network must undergo a comprehensive screening and selection process. Providers are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including their employee hiring process, customer satisfaction ratings, training programs, licensing and certifications, as well as service standards. Every technician, electrician and plumber is carefully screened, trained and certified to make the repair. We are committed to working exclusively with professionals that are focused on delivering the ultimate customer experience, so we continuously monitor our providers to ensure they are delivering the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

    What types of Home Service Plans does Constellation offer?
    Constellation offers the following protection plans on some of the highest energy users in your home:

    Home Comfort Plus Protection Plan

    • Covers one Air Conditioning / Heating System and one Water Heater
    • 100% of Covered Parts & Labor
    • Annual Inspection of Air Conditioning/Heating System

    Select Comfort Protection Plan

    • Covers one Air Conditioning / Heating System and one Water Heater
    • 100% of Covered Parts & Labor
    • 15% Discount on Annual Inspection of Air Conditioning/Heating System

    In-Home Electrical Protection Plan (only available in TX)

    • Covers Switches, Receptacles, Light Fixture Repair, and More
    • 100% of Covered Parts & Labor

    What are the hours of operation for Constellation Customer Care?
    You will be able to reach Constellation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    How do I request service on my plan?
    If your covered equipment requires service, contact Constellation by calling 844-823-HOME, or schedule service online.

    What is priority service?
    As a Smart Service customer, you will receive front-of-line priority scheduling for your service call.

    Is there a deductible or co-pay for a service call?
    No, there is no deductible and no co-pay for a service call.

    Is there a limit on the number of service calls for a Smart Service Plan?
    No, there is no limit on the number of service calls.

    How long does my protection plan last?
    All Smart Service plans have an initial enrollment period of 12-months, after which your plan will continue to bill monthly or annually – based upon your selection at enrollment.

    How do I renew my protection plan?

    • Monthly Option: If you select our monthly payment plan option, coverage will renew each month until you notify us.
    • Annual Option: Our annual billing option automatically renews your plan every 12 months until you notify us. Prior to the end of each renewal period, you will receive a notification in the mail regarding your renewal and cancellation options.

    How can I pay my Constellation bill?

    What happens if a part is not covered by the service plan?
    For any non-covered repair, Service Plan customers will receive a 15% discount on the repair.

    What happens if the covered system or equipment can’t be repaired?
    If the covered equipment is not repairable, Constellation will refund a pro-rated portion of your contract based upon the months remaining in the term. If service has been performed, then no refund will be given.

    What are the general exclusions from the plan?
    General exclusions include: normal routine maintenance, electric baseboard/radiant heating, steam/hot water heating systems, geothermal systems, oil-fired units, commercial systems, any systems partially or completely powered by solar energy, water heater tanks, tankless water heaters, humidifiers, and air cleaners. Service to repair and/or replace parts caused by faulty system design or installation, air filters, refrigerant, insulation, duct work, service entrance cables, light fixture replacement, inadequate wiring capacity, direct current (DC) wiring or components, or code violations (local, state or federal) are not covered.

    What happens if I want to cancel my protection plan?
    You may cancel your plan at any time by contacting Constellation. Some stipulations may apply:

    • If canceling within the first thirty days and no service has been performed, we will refund all amounts paid.
    • If canceling within the first twelve months of the plan and service has been performed, you will need to pay the lesser of our cost of any service already performed or the full year value of the plan.
